A "cashless" car rental service within Metro Manila

The company released this new addition to provide a more accessible rental experience with a wide range of vehicles Grab users can choose from. The types of vehicles that can be booked are sedans (max of 3 pax), MPVs (max of 6 pax), and vans (max of 14 pax).

Note that you may book 24/7, but the service hours are limited from 8AM till 6 PM only. If you need to rent a vehicle, you must book in advance for at least four hours before the scheduled ride.

Advance bookings can be set but not more than 2 days. Users may also incur fees for late cancellations and no-shows.

The rental service enables users to book a car and travel within Metro Manila for a set duration: 4, 8, or 12 hours.

Those who availed of the rental service may pay through the app through the cashless option only. The fare displayed on the app already includes rental, driver, and fuel. Meanwhile, other fees like toll, parking, and entrance fees must be paid by the renter separately.

As of writing, the rental service is still in the beta testing phase. For now, it only covers pick-up and drop-off to a limited number of locations: Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasay, Pasig, and Taguig (including Bonifacio Global City). Take note that drop-offs are within Metro Manila only.

We'll let you know once the service coverage expands to other parts of the country.

Any thoughts about this new feature?
