During the event, the company demonstrated the capabilities and innovations of the device and proved that it can create ultra-premium phones that can compete with or beat the best out there.

This is the first time since the company held an event for a top-of-the-line smartphone in the country since the Find X2 Pro last 2020.

To those who missed it, the OPPO Find X5 Pro was first introduced in China last February. It comes in two versions
—a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 variant and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 edition.

The unit that was showcased at the event is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model.

OPPO has always placed innovation at its heart to provide its users with exceptional devices that perfectly fit their everyday lives. The OPPO Find X5 Pro is built with the finest technology and self-developed innovations to ensure the best in our flagship series. May this device indeed empower life’s every moment, said Chiqui Tapawan, Head of Marketing Communications of OPPO Philippines.

If you have been reading our articles, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is Qualcomm's top-of-the-line processor for 2022 high-end smartphones. It is based on the 4nm manufacturing process for better thermal management, power efficiency, speed, and many more. This has up to 3.0GHz clock speed and is paired with the new-generation Adreno GPU that could handle all of the tasks on Android phones even heavy gaming today.

But aside from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, OPPO added the company's self-developed MariSilicon X NPU as a co-processor. This chip assists the main processor to improve the camera performance of the device by providing AI noise reduction, 4K Ultra Night video mode for wide + ultra-wide cams, and can capture videos at 20-bits per channel with a 4x greater dynamic range than Find X3 Pro at 120dB.

Speaking of cameras, the device is boasting a dual 50MP Sony IMX766 camera (wide with Omni-Directional PDAF and 5-axis OIS and ultra-wide) with Hasselblad Natural Color Calibration to give natural and accurate colors.

This even has a 13MP f/2.4 Samsung S5K3M5 sensor for 2x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and up to 20x digital zoom. For selfies, it uses a 32MP f/2.4 Sony IMX709 shooter.

This is the first smartphone of the company in collaboration with Hasselblad, a legendary Swedish camera maker. This collaboration also allowed the Find X5 Pro access to Hasselblad master filters, cinematic panoramas, and vintage-like photos with its XPan mode, and a custom UI with the iconic leaf shutter sound.

Using these technologies, OPPO said that the device can take stunning photos and videos even at Night. This also has the 4K Ultra Night Video capability, a first on an Android device.

In terms of design, it is like a refined Find X3 with smooth curves and an ultra-hard, ceramic-based back that is not that prone to fingerprint smudges and could help in dissipating heat. Similar to most high-end phones, it also has the IP68 water and dust resistance.

The device also has a large 6.7-inch 3D curved Gorilla Glass Victus protected 10-bit LTPO Super AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 1000Hz touch sampling rate, 8192-level screen dimming, HDR10+, QHD+ 3126 x 1440 resolution at 514 ppi, and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

The phone also has a large 5,000mAh battery capacity with
80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging via USB-C and the 50W AirVOOC super-fast wireless charging support. OPPO claims that its 80W charging can charge the device to 50 percent in 12 minutes and the AirVOOC can fill its battery to 100 percent in just 47 minutes.
