The Chinese tech giant has finally unveiled its first laser multifunction printer in China, the K200.

Enables printing from different sources even without a cable

Xiaomi showcased the K200 laser printer as an all-in-one gadget that can print, scan and copy documents. The company also highlights that users will have several ways to connect the printer to the device of their preference.

For the design, the laser printer includes physical buttons to control functions (print/copy/scan) as well as a simple screen. However, these functions can be controlled directly via a mobile application called Mi Printing on a smartphone.

Meanwhile, the Air Tap touch transfer is said to be at the heart of the one-touch connection and printing available in the all-in-one laser printer. This tool allows Air Tap mode, where you tap your Android or iOS phone against the device to start printing.

The K200 supports USB connections and there's also an option for a driver-free web drag and drop functionality or print directly from the WeChat app.

Other intelligent features include ID Card smart copy. This permits users to place an ID card anywhere on the scanner and then the printer will automatically straighten the image. Aside from that, the device will improve an image for readability and accurate color representation.

Xiaomi equipped the printer with a pre-installed toner it reportedly can cover 4,000 pages. The company came up with a printing cost estimate of 0.05 yuan per page. According to the company, the device can print 23 pages per minute.

 The Xiaomi K200 laser printer is now available for pre-order in China with a CNY 50 deposit. The company hasn't announced yet its plan to launch it in other countries yet. Stay tuned for updates.
