PLDT speeds up network migration for Home Ultera

PLDT Home Ultera can now transfer to Home Fiber!

PLDT Home Ultera's network migration is now complete!

This is after 185 telecom towers has been decommissioned by PLDT

By end of July 2022, PLDT will have finished the planned decommissioning of roughly 185 telecom towers that serve as Home Ultera's TD-LTE coverage. This implies that more than 3,000 House Ultera customers who qualify for service migration will have the choice to switch at no additional cost to fixed fiber plans with greater speeds or to a postpaid cellular service for home for a better customer experience. In addition, customers who will migrate to Home Fiber will also enjoy FREE installation and modem fees.

This migration initiative will cover 58 areas in the Philippines, as follows:

The tower sale announced by PLDT earlier this year was followed by decommissioning. PLDT announced a ground-breaking sale and leaseback transaction of 5,907 telecom towers in April as part of its strategic change to increase investment and enhance network operations.
