In one of the recent news, the Commission on Audit uncovered PHP 2.4 Billion worth of outdated and slow laptops for teachers.

According to DepEd's response, they said they are acknowledging COA's 2021 annual report and are already taking measures to address the recommendations presented as well as the worth PHP 2.4 Billion for the laptops acquired.

The organization went on to say that the Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM), the primary head in charge of the purchased items, is best suited to respond to inquiries about the cost of the aforementioned laptops. The DepEd also said that "they only received the devices from PS-DBM".

The agency concluded the statement by pledging to work alongside with COA to guarantee that public services are continually improved. You may refer to the photo above for the full statement.
