In order to encourage creative talent from all around the world to leverage the power of technology to link people with culture in the metaverse era, HONOR introduced Gateway to the Future, a worldwide project piloting in Hamburg, Germany.

In order to deliver the cinematic 3D sound effects needed for the next generation of AR and VR experiences, HONOR's Spatial Audio solution was announced. It is intended to deliver surround sound and 3D audio through headphones by using the accelerometer and gyroscope in earbuds to track the motion of the user's head and remapping the sound field to provide users with an immersive and enjoyable audio experience in all situations, such as watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games.

Additionally, the technique can be used to model how the sound changes as it travels from the source to the listener's ear. Localization of sound sources in front, behind, above, and below the listener is one of these effects.

In order to provide customers with a more customized listening experience, HONOR's Spatial Audio is the first to provide sound externalization distance modification, allowing users to dynamically alter the distance of virtual sound sources from 0.15 to 10 meters.

In order to support the project, HONOR has added a special category for Interactive AR Artwork to its HONOR Talents international design competition. Participants in the category are asked to create digital augmented reality artworks that imaginatively transform their neighborhoods, such as digital overlays for buildings, walls, parks, and other public spaces that bring people closer to the arts.
