The Lenovo Yoga 7 Pro X is able to stand out in the competitive market of slim and light premium laptops. It features a premium yet compact design that oozes business and professional vibes. It is just 16mm thin and weighs just 1.45 kg.

Sticking to the Yoga name, it features a 180-degree hinge that allows it to be in laptop mode and flat mode. It has a TKL keyboard layout with white backlighting. It has two speaker grilles on either side of the keyboard for the stereo speakers.

Plenty of modes!

It also has a large trackpad that is responsive and has a tactile click. It has a matte finish and has tactile feedback when pressed down. Overall, it provides a good typing and navigation experience.

In terms of I/O ports, it has 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports with DisplayPort 1.4a, power delivery, and 10Gbps data transfer, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 for charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Multimedia Experience

3K resolution, vibrant colors, and a 120Hz refresh rate!
3K resolution, vibrant colors, and a 120Hz refresh rate!

The Lenovo Yoga 7 Pro X features a 14.5-inch PureSight IPS touchscreen with a 3072 x 1920 resolution, 100 percent sRGB color space coverage, a 120Hz refresh rate, Delta E<1 color accuracy, 400 nits peak brightness, TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification, and NVIDIA G-Sync support.

It may not be OLED but the PureSight IPS screen is amazing. It has great colors, brightness, and ample contrast to make what you watch, work on, and read clear and detailed. In addition, the screen is also gaming capable with a 120Hz refresh rate and NVIDIA G-Sync support. The latter provides a smooth experience even without V-Sync enabled.

At 100 percent, the screen becomes quite bright. For a healthy combination of comfort and usability, we strongly advise that you keep your brightness at around 60 percent. Additionally, good color fidelity for video and photo processing is provided by the 100 percent sRGB color gamut and Delta E<1 certification.

The speakers are 2x 2W Harman Speakers with Dolby Atmos support. This combo provides a loud, clear, and immersive audio experience in games and movies. It also has dual microphones as well for your online conference calls or voice chats. If you want, you can utilize the 3.5mm headphone jack for a more private listening experience.

Performance

In terms of performance, the model we had featured the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor that goes up to 4.7GHz, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB GDDR6 GPU, 16GB LPDDR5 6400MHz soldered RAM, and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 m.2 SSD.

As you can see, even in its slim form factor, it was able to cram in so much performance and even a discrete RTX 3050 GPU. With that, it was able to multitask very well with no hiccups. The 16GB LPDDR5 RAM is enough to handle multiple apps and switches between them in a jiffy.

It is quite fast!

Yes, you can game with this business laptop. It has a 120Hz refresh rate screen which makes it ideal for esports titles such as Rainbow 6: Siege, VALORANT, or League of Legends. However, we highly recommend that you stick to 1080p resolution. This is an RTX 3050 but it still has 4GB of VRAM only. You can crank the settings to High but settle on 1080p for an optimal experience.

In terms of battery, we can see that it needs a bit more juice. This is a power-hungry system at full load and the 70Whr battery will be depleted fast. But, the 100W USB-C charging will definitely be enough to quickly charge it in a pinch.

Additionally, it incorporates an FHD IR webcam for calls and recording. When used in conjunction with the built-in dual microphone setup for video conferences, it is fairly reasonable. When compared to older 720p laptop cameras, this is a little better for Zoom calls.

Connectivity is also great with WiFi 6 AX and Bluetooth 5.1. Connection is fast and stable for both. It does not have an Ethernet port though which is a bummer giver the price. It should have all the bells and whistles a professional may need.
