OPPO Reno8 5G features a 4,500mAh battery and supports up to 80W fast charging. The DxOMark Gold Battery is given to smartphones with great charging performance and battery efficiency.

The OPPO Reno8 5G was able to place itself 3rd on the overall DxOMark Battery global ranking and also 3rd on the High-End ranking that consists of devices in the USD 400 to USD 600 price range. It got an overall battery score of 141 which is only 5 points lower than the 1st ranking OPPO Reno6 5G.

It was able to provide 2 days and 9 hours of battery life from 100 percent to 0 percent. In terms of charging, it was able to recharge 0 percent to 80 percent in just 21 minutes while it took 31 minutes to reach 100 percent. After 5 minutes of charging, it was able to be autonomous for a total of 7 hours and 43 minutes.

According to DxOMark, the Reno8 5G averages 0.67 percent battery consumption on average. The charging was managed and optimized by OPPO's  Battery Health Engine. This feature automatically manages to charge current and voltage in real-time. In addition, the Battery Health Engine also extends the battery life span for up to 1600 charge cycles more which can translate to 4 years of average use.

As a recap, the OPPO Reno8 5G features a 6.4-inch 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 protected Rigid LTPS AMOLED screen, 3.0GHz 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1300 octa-core processor, 8GB LPDDR4X, 256GB UFS 3.1 expandable storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with USB-C 80W charging.

For cameras, it has 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX766 w/ All-Pixel Omni-Directional PDAF + 8MP f/2.2 119-degree ultra-wide-angle w/ EIS + 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro + LED flash. The other key feature of this is the custom OPPO front camera sensor, the 32MP f/2.4 Sony IMX709 RGBW for better selfies.
