Here is the breakdown of the types of malicious apps

A list of more than 400 malicious Android and iOS apps designed to steal Facebook login credentials and compromise users' accounts has been published by Meta. According to Meta, these programs were misrepresented on app stores as photo editors, games, VPN services, business apps, and other utilities in an effort to trick people into downloading them.

The list is dominated by photo editing programs, then comes business software, phone utilities, and other things. Before allowing a user to enjoy the program's stated features, the malicious app may ask users to "Login with Facebook" when they first install it. If they submit their credentials, the spyware steals both their username and password.

You must change your Facebook password and enable two-factor authentication if you use any of the following applications. To be alerted if someone tries to access your account, you need also to set log-in alerts.

Prior to issuing the report, Meta makes sure that these hazardous apps have been notified to partners at Apple and Google and deleted from both app stores. Be careful not to download these programs from unofficial stores.

You can check the link for the complete list of malicious apps.

What do you guys think?
