Acer Swift Edge OLED laptop with AMD Ryzen 6000 CPUs, 4K resolution now official

The 16-inch Acer Swift Edge OLED with AMD Ryzen 6000 series has been announced. It is touted to be the "lightest" 16-inch OLED laptop yet.

It features a 4K OLED screen!

What makes it the "lightest" 16-inch OLED laptop? The Acer Swift Edge OLED is made out of an alloy that is 20 percent lighter than typically used and 2x as strong as normal aluminum. The screen is a 16-inch OLED screen with 3840 x 2400 4K resolution, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 500 nits True Black HDR brightness, and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification.

This makes it just 1.17 kg and measures 357 x 242 x 14 mm.

Inside, it features AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 series or AMD Ryzen 6000 series CPUs that are backed by Radeon graphics. It can be configured with up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB 16GB/s PCIe 4.0 NVME SSDs. It also has a 54Whr battery.

Other features include Microsoft Pluton security, fingerprint reader, stereo speakers with DTS Audio/Acer TrueHarmony, Acer Purified Voice, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6E, and Windows 11 Home or Pro.
