24-hour EDSA Busway free bus rides next month
Heads up commuters!
In a social media post, the Department of Transportation said it is stretching the implementation of the 24/7 EDSA Busway free ride program from December 1 to 31 from the initially announced December 15 to 31.
This is in line with the directive issued by DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
The LTFRB will soon issue a board resolution for this to make it an official directive to operators who are part of the Service Contracting Program, the department noted.
DOTr made the move in anticipation of the volume of passengers this Christmas season as malls in Metro Manila implement extended operating hours from 11 AM to 11 PM.

Through the InterAgency Council for Traffic, the department also assures 24/7 security operations.
