#ICYMI: The long-lasting and eco-friendly Nokia X30 5G is now available in the Philippines

To those who missed it, HMD Global recently released the X30 5G in the Philippines.

The 5G-ready mid-ranger is made with mostly recycled materials

Nokia X30 5G is the company's premium mid-range offering boasting parts made with recycled materials. According to the company, the device is using a 100 percent recycled aluminum frame and a rear cover with 65 percent recycled plastic.

The device also arrived in an eco-friendly box designed in Finland with less plastic and fewer chemicals. In particular, it is using 100 percent FSC certified and 94 percent recycled paper boxes as HMD Global seeks to promote responsible forestry and support the circular economy.

Moreover, it promises to be a durable device that you can use for a long time as it has a Gorilla Glass Victus-protected display, IP67 water and dust resistance rating, 3 OS upgrades, and 3 years of warranty.

The X30 5G model

Compared with most similarly priced phones under 28K, it is a bit underwhelming. The device is only using a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, a 6nm Snapdragon 695 5G chip (at least it is 5G), and a 4,200mAh battery with USB-C 33W fast charging.

Thankfully, it has a large 8GB RAM, 256GB expandable storage, and a 50MP + 13MP dual-cam setup at the back with no filler cameras.
