TECNO Phantom X2 Pro 5G with world's first retractable Portrait Lens launched!
TECNO has just announced the next generation of its Premium Phantom line of smartphones that features the world's first retracting portrait camera.

Another Camera Innovation from TECNO?
TECNO has just unveiled the new Phantom X2 Pro 5G that comes with the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 octa-core processor. This is a massive upgrade from the previous Phantom X's MediaTek Helio G95 octa-core processor.
In front is a 120Hz 6.8-inch Curved AMOLED FHD+ screen with a 20:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio, P3 color gamut support, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and a punch hole.
Alongside the new processor are 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,160mAh battery with a 45W fast wired charging. In contrast, the previous generation Phantom X only came with a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast wired charging.
It even has the TÜV SÜD 36-Month Fluency Rating A allowing the phone to keep smooth and fast.

The main highlight is the MASSIVE rear camera array that comes with a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.3-inch Samsung ISOCELL 3.0, a 50MP f/1.49 65mm 2.5x retracting telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with an LED flash. All rear cameras feature auto-focus but GizmoChina points out that none of the three has Optical Image Stabilization.
The retracting 65mm portrait camera allows the phone to maintain a thin profile when not in use. When in use, a powered mechanism will extend the lens outwards to achieve the 65mm equivalent focal length.
TECNO says that because of the large sensor paired with the retracting lens, the portrait camera will be able to produce images with a natural bokeh.
While on the punch hole in the front is a 32MP front-facing camera.
The unibody design allows the phone to measure 164.61 x 72.65 x 8.95 mm.
Lastly, it comes in either Stardust Grey or Mars Orange (which is made of recycled materials).

The smartphone is expected to go on sale in the coming weeks in Saudi Arabia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. There is no word yet on Philippine pricing and availability.
