MediaTek revealed Helio G36 - a lower clocked G37!

MediaTek has announced a new entry-level chipset in the form of Helio G36. It's basically the G37 but with a lower clock speed.

The new SoC uses 12nm lithography Cortex-A53 cores and has less 100MHz clock speed than its predecessor which now makes it 2.2GHz rather than 2.3GHz.

While the integrated GPU is still the IMG PowerVR GE8320 clocked at 680MHz frequency.

This MTK Helio G36 similarly supports 90Hz refresh rates for displays, 50MP sensors, Dual 4G VoLTE, and the MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 Lite.

Again this is expected to arrive on budget smartphones and is going to meet Indian markets first. Although there's no phone maker reported using the Helio G36 as of the moment.
