HONOR used the upcoming Magic5 Pro flagship to capture a Guinness world record

To hype and tease its upcoming smartphone further, HONOR recently partnered with the Guinness World Records.

The device is boasting advanced AI tech for its cameras

Guinness World Records revealed that the soon-to-be-launched HONOR Magic5 Pro was used to capture a record-breaking moment.

They used the said smartphone to capture the new "Highest Between The Legs Slam Dunk" achieved by Poland's professional dunker Piotr Grabowski at a facility in London last January 20, 2023.

The new record is 3.20 meters or 10.5 feet. To achieve the feat, "Grabo" asked to increase the hoop to 3.20  which is 15 cm higher than the standard NBA hoop height.

HONOR has yet to reveal the details about the upcoming smartphone, but it is expected to carry a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with HDR10+, an In-Display fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, and 3 "powerful" Sony snappers.

The device will go official at the upcoming MWC 2023 event in Barcelona on February 27.
