MWC 2023: OPPO reveals Zero-Power Tag with no batteries!

At the ongoing MWC 2023 in Barcelona Spain, OPPO revealed the Zero-Power Tag.

The OPPO Zero-Power Tag is the company's first prototype device based on OPPO Zero-power Communication technology.

The tags

According to the company, this device is leveraging key technologies such as RF signal harvesting, backscattering, and low-power computing. This one is harvesting radio waves from the surrounding area to power its own functionality. Basically, it can communicate battery-free.

The OPPO Zero-Power Tag has capabilities in item identification and positioning, and data collection from temperature sensors. Both are powered by RF energy.
