Remember the Sony ZV-1, the small but capable vlogging camera? Sony today released its improved version.
Sony ZV-1 II

Sony's improved compact vlogging camera!

The device is called ZV-1 II. The biggest improvement? It is now sporting a wider 18-50mm f/1.8-4 lens. This lens could be more suitable for vlogging as you can fit your face better in the frame than the previous 24-70mm of the ZV-1.

The other improvement is it now uses the more convenient and reversible USB-C instead of micro USB.

The sensor it uses is still the 20MP Type 1 Stacked CMOS sensor that can capture 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 120fps. It also has digital stabilization (SteadyShot) with a crop for less shaky videos.

This is powered by the same BIONZ X Imaging Processor with a hybrid autofocus system.

The
Mark II offers S-Log2 and S-Log3 profiles at 8-bit as well as HLG curves.

Sony also added a better 3-stop built-in ND filter.

This also has the same
three capsule mics and a fully-articulating screen for facing-the-camera video shooting. You also get the same button and port layouts.

There is still no headphone socket for the audio monitor though.

International price with direct-to-PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

Sony ZV-1 II - USD 900 (around PHP 50K)

The device will be available in June for USD 900.

There is no word if it will be available in the Philippines yet.
