In a statement, the company said that they have completed the commissioning and interconnection of test sites and successfully made the first call in the third month after project initiation.

After that, they constructed over 1,700 full-turnkey sites, more than 5,000km of optical cables, and 30 data centers for the new operator DITO in just 18 months.

ZTE also noted that the company is helping DITO improve network performance as the number of users grows. Some of them include network geolocation insight (NGI), an intelligent network optimization platform, that facilitates accurate visualized evaluation of network quality.

ZTE also has a wireless network guardian (WNG). It is an automatic innovative drive test solution based on app + cloud architecture which enables fast and efficient data collection and analysis, and the key feature can be deployed according to the evaluation test results, improving user perception and attracting more users to choose the DITO network.

The achievement is in line with DITO's ambitious goal of providing the Philippines with world-class internet.

DITO CTO Rodolfo Santiago previously said in an interview that they recognize
ZTE's network service capability.

ZTE is excellent not only in 5G technologies but also in optical network construction. We look forward to continuing to work with ZTE to fulfill our commitment to the government and people of the Philippines within five years.
