Qualcomm revealed the dates for its yearly Snapdragon Tech Summit which will happen on October 24 to 26,2023.

At that prestigious event, the chipmaker will reveal its flagship SoC known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which the firm promises significant improvements from the SD8G2 processor.

While there are not many details about the upcoming chip, leaks give us an idea that the Gen 3 will feature an updated architecture shift from a "1 + 2 +2 +3" setup to a 1 + 5 + 2 configuration. This modification will probably kick in a more powerful performance core with a higher frequency. Furthermore, the chip will allegedly be built utilizing the TSMC N4P process, which is known for its advanced capabilities.

Ice Universe's leak

Rumor suggests that the SD8G3 will have 1x Cortex-X4 prime core, 5x A720 performance cores, 2x A520 efficiency cores and a new Adreno GPU (unofficially called Adreno 750). These claims are accoding on Ice Universe a popular leaker. He also mentioned that the GPU will bring huge jumps in terms of performance versus the predecessor. The leaks also says that the chip will have 10MB L3 cache as well.

A Geekbench listing also revealed that the new chip will have 2563 points in single-core while the multicore produced 7256 points.

Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station mentioned that Xiaomi 14 series will be one of the first phones to get the upcoming flagship chip alongside the vivo X100 Series, iQOO 12 series, Redmi K70 Series, OnePlus 12, and realme GT 5.
