In a statement, Acer announced that K-pop superstar Sandara Park, also known as 2ne1’s Dara, is its latest brand ambassador.

This announcement is in line with this year's theme for Acer Day, #AceYourWorld.

Dara truly fits the theme of this year’s celebration because she is an ace who has conquered stages worldwide with her talent and charm. The youth look up to her because she has achieved her dreams despite whatever challenges came her way, said Sue Ong-Lim, General Manager at Acer Philippines.

Dara is expected to perform during the celebration of Acer Day on August 6 at the SM MOA Arena. This will be headlined by Asia's Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo and popular Kapamilya loveteam DonBelle.

The much-awaited annual Acer Day celebration has returned with a superior, more exciting lineup of activities. Alongside bigger promotions on Acer products, the brand has set bolder goals to provide innovative products that enhance productivity and elevate the digital experience. This year's theme, #AceYourWorld, is about empowering and motivating individuals to achieve their goals and reach their full potential, Acer said.

Dara studied in the Philippines and rose to fame here via a reality show search. She moved to her homeland Korea and joined the group 2NE1, one of the biggest K-pop groups.

After the group's disbandment in 2026, Dara continued to be active as a performer and variety show host. She is admired by many in Korea for her beauty and amiable personality.

Despite her fame, Dara has never forgotten the Philippines and is still known as the "Pambansang Krungkrung ng Pilipinas."

Dara's solo mini album "Sandara Park" was released on July 12. The album has five songs, including the title track "Festival."
