DITO introduces an unlimited 5G plan!

The expanded 5G footprint in the Philippines provides Filipinos with faster and smoother access to information. With that, DITO seeks to fuel the country's digital shift with genuine 5G speeds.

To back up this, DITO constantly pours huge investments into its network build-up to bring 5G speeds to its subscribers directly from its own 5G infrastructure. A major upgrade from its rival's dependence on non-standalone 5G networks to enable their 5 G services.

Since it started deploying its infrastructure, DITO Telecommunity has been investing in the latest technologies like 5G as part of our commitment to boost connectivity and unlock new opportunities for customers in every corner of the Philippines, said DITO Telecommunity Chief Technology Officer Rodolfo D. Santiago.

3. Connects, and reaches more devices - According to DITO, 5G has bigger capacity than 4G. Either when working at home or in crowded places outside, there will be multiple devices around competing to connect to cell sites, thus resulting in congestion. However, when it comes to 5G, it can accommodate mass numbers of devices while maintaining high-speed connections.

4. Provides lag-free experience - Through lightning-speed data connectivity, it enables a lag-free experience whether for streaming, gaming, or downloading.

5. Enables new technologies - 5G is crucial in the pursuit of smart city development because it can meet the connectivity requirements of other technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT).

Meanwhile, DITO proudly says its DITO Home WiFi can accommodate up to 32 devices and can deliver up to 500 Mbps of internet speeds.

Right now, DITO Home is available for about 500 barangays across Metro Manila and 50 barangays in Cebu.

As the telco rolls out more 5G sites, the firm is on track to reach more Filipino homes. The brand continued that at the end of 2022, they were able to build almost 6,000 towers nationwide and have covered more than 700 areas.
