ROG Ally will go official in PH soon!

If you don't know yet, ROG Ally is currently the most prominent portable console in the market. ASUS made it to compete with the likes of Steam Deck and the 5-year-old Nintendo Switch.

One of its main highlights is the custom AMD chip called the Ryzen Z1 and Z1 Extreme options which are both made for gaming.

The Z1 version has a 6-core 12-thread Zen 4 CPU design with 4 RDNA 4 iGPU, while the Z1 Extreme has a more powerful 8-core thread 16-thread combo with 12 RDNA 3 GPUs and 24MB cache.

Moving to the design, it has what gamers would look for such as the hall-sensing joysticks with RGB, the D-pad, 4 face buttons (Xbox layout), R1, R2, L1, and L2 buttons.

The display has a 7-inch LCD (IPS) panel with an FHD resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits max brightness, 7ms response time, 100 percent sRGB color space, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

For memory, it has 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB PCIe Gen 4 storage. It can also be expanded through the microSD card slot (UHS-II).

In terms of battery, the ROG Ally has a 40WHr capacity and charges using a 65W Power Delivery adaptor.

Other features mentioned were the dual-firing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res audio, dual fans, and copper heat pipe to keep the temperatures in check.

For OS, it runs Windows 11 with a special edition of ASUS Armoury Crate on top.
