Popular smartphone maker Xiaomi has just improved its software update game with the newly announced Redmi K60 Ultra.
In particular, the Redmi K60 Ultra, also known as Extreme Edition in China, will get at least 4 major Android upgrades and 5 years of sure over-the-air (OTA) security patches. It will also be one of the first to get MIUI 15.
This matches the policy of OPPO, OnePlus, and Samsung with very-long software support.
This means that Redmi K60 Ultra users will enjoy much longer software support than any other Xiaomi smartphone.
To recap, the Redmi K60 Ultra boasts a 6.67-inch 144Hz OLED screen, 4nm Dimensity 9200+ chip, 5,000mAh battery capacity, and USB-C 120W fast charging. This device is expected to be the Xiaomi 13T Pro for the global market with a slightly better camera.
It is not yet known if Xiaomi plans to do this software upgrade policy with its current and upcoming phones.
