Sharp has launched a new smartphone dubbed the AQUOS Sense8 featuring interesting internals.
To start, the phone arrived in a simple matte-looking finish on its rear cover. There are two selections of light-toned colorways either Pink or Green but you may also choose the Black color as well.
At the front, it uses using 6.1-inch IGZO OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, and 1300 nits of max brightness. Another highlight of the screen is that it has a variable 1-90Hz refresh rate but can go up to 180Hz using the black frame insertion. This makes it look like the screen has twice the refresh rate.
Inside, the phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU, 6GB of RAM and 128GB expandable storage.
For battery, it has a 5,000mAh capacity which Sharp claims can deliver up to 10 hours of straight usage.
Next is the 50MP main camera with 2x optical zoom and OIS + 8MP ultra-wide shooter. For selfies, it uses an 8MP sensor.
Other features are the IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810G certification for durability, 3.5mm headphone jack and fingerprint reader,
Connectivity features are 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), NFC and GPS.
For software, the phone runs Android 13 Operating System.

Currently, it is only available in Japan and the brand has rarely tried a Global release.
