HUAWEI MateBook D 16 2024 launched in PH: Premium metal body, 16:10 screen, up to 13th Gen Intel Core i9 chip, PHP 38,999 price tag

Tech giant HUAWEI today launched the 2024 version of the MateBook D 16 in the Philippines.

Improved MateBook D 16 

The new MateBook D 16 features an easy-to-carry and sleek design at just 17mm thick with enhanced durability thanks to its use of a metal body.

In front, it sports a 16-inch LCD (IPS) with a 16:10 aspect ratio and FHD 1920 x 1200 resolution. This display also has a 90 percent high-screen-to-body ratio and a 180-degree flexible hinge.

For specs, it starts with an  Intel Core i5-12450H chip and could go all the way up to an Intel Core i9 14-core processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It also has up to 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB PCIe SSD internal storage.

The i5 version of the MateBook D 16 2024 has a 56WHr battery while the i9 variant goes with a larger 70WHr battery. Both could be charged using a USB-C 65W charging.

The device also has an AI 720p HD webcam, a full-size backlit keyboard with 1.5mm key travel, a numeric keypad, and a fingerprint power button. 

Price of HUAWEI MateBook D 16

The other highlight of the laptop is it sports a HUAWEI Metaline Antenna to ensure optimal WiFi connectivity up to 270 meters and increase signal conversion efficiency by 70 percent. HUAWEI boasts that it has an improved 3.5dB uplink and downlink.

It also has AI sound effects and the Sound TrueVoice technology that enables remote sound pick-up and AI noise cancellation for improved conference experience.

For software, it runs with Windows 11 Home operating system with pre-installed WPS Office with AI writer as well as a built-in PDF reader.
