As the competition among wearable devices intensifies, HUAWEI said its WATCH 4 "emerges as a trailblazer" with the integration of the eSIM technology. Through this, users lessen their dependence on their smartphones with the incorporation of communication, health monitoring, and lifestyle in a watch.

The addition of this technology in the HUAWEI WATCH 4 has different benefits, like allowing users to activate cellular service on the watch without their phones via Bluetooth connection, the company said.

Apart from its features, HUAWEI listed the following perks when using WATCH 4:

1. Independence from your Smartphone - Users can answer calls and reply to messages directly from their HUAWEI WATCH 4, regardless of whether their phone is nearby or not. You can leave your phone behind and still stay in the loop. With this, your eSIM number can actually be used on your phone and watch at the same time. Should you want to have a standalone/independent number from your phone, you can also opt to do so with a different eSIM number on your WATCH.
