Announced back in November 2023, now Lenovo has provided the top features of its famed handheld console—the Legion Go.
According to the PC maker, the Legion Go is their answer for consumers who are in need of a gaming machine yet portable so they can bring it anywhere they want and game whenever they can. The brand claims that this device won't compromise quality and is suitable for your top gaming titles making it the "ultimate gaming companion".
Stunning visuals for the casual cozy gamer
One of its standout highlights is the 8.8-inch PureSight touchscreen (10-point) display with QHD+ 2560 x 1600 resolution, 97 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 500 nits of peak brightness and 16:10 aspect ratio. If you compare the Legion Go against its rivals, this handheld holds the highest resolution and bigger display.
For it's size Lenovo claims, the device is lightweight at 854 grams. Although its rivals have lower weight but with smaller size.
For gamers who like playing the long game (literally)
The Legion Go sports the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor with RDNA 3 graphics. This is a modern chip for portable gaming and should suffice for running the latest-gen titles depending on the visual settings. Meanwhile, this portable machine features the Legion Space software which provides players with a unified hub for accessing various gaming platforms, customizing settings, and purchasing games.
Furthermore, the device sports a 49.2WHr battery capacity for long gaming sessions on the road as well as a 65W Super Rapid Charge. The brand states that you can get a 30 percent juice in 10 minutes of charging. Moreover, it supports bypass charging to keep the battery from degrading over time.
The rest of the features
It comes with Xbox layout keys, hall effect sticks, and triggers, a trackpad, a 6-axis gyro sensor, and vibration feedback all made to enhance the user's gaming experience.
The Legion Go features a variety of I/O ports, including a 3.5mm audio combo jack, a USB Type-C port (USB 4.0, DisplayPort 1.4, Power Delivery 3.0), and a microSD card reader on the top portion. The bottom portion houses an additional USB Type-C port with the same capabilities.
As for wireless connectivity, it has 2 x 2 WiFi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2.
For software, the device runs Windows 11 Home with Legion Space, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 3 months.
