OnePlus Ace 3V launched: Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, 50MP Sony IMX882, and 100W SuperVOOC!

OnePlus launched today the Ace 3V the brand's latest Ace series phone bringing various upgrades.

The primary highlight here is the newly announced Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 which has a max boost clock 2.8GHz and is built in 4nm architecture. It has 8 cores comprising 1x Cortex-X4, 4x Cortex A720, and 3x A520 cores. For GPU it has a new Adreno with a 45 percent boost in performance versus its predecessor.

Moving forward, the phone features 6.74-inch curved AMOLED with 120Hz variable refresh rate, 1.5K 2772 x 1240 resolution, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and a ProXDR display.

Inside, the aforementioned chip is paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

In terms of battery, the device has a 5,500mAh capacity that charges a 100W USB-C SuperVOOC fast charger.

For cameras, the phone is equipped with a 50MP f/1.8 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor, and an LED flash. For selfies, it has a 16MP Samsung S5K3P9 sensor.

Other features noted are a three-stage alert slider, wide cooling space of 9140mm2 VC vapor chamber, In-Display fingerprint scanner, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

For connectivity, the phone has 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

On the software side, the phone runs Android 14 with ColorOS 14 skin on top.

The phone is going to be on sale in China starting March 25, 2024. It is also expected to debut in India as OnePlus Nord 4. No word yet for a global release so we will have to get back to you on this.
