HONOR invited members of the APAC media to their headquarters in Shenzen to look closely at their flagship showroom and NextGen Image Lab.
The first tour stop in Shenzen, China is the HONOR NextGen Image Lab where the brand showcased its advanced imaging laboratory and claims that it is capable of an "All-scenarios Automated Comprehensive Photographic Testing System". This enables the brand to optimize the HONOR image engine in a wide range of predicted scenarios.
These scenarios encompass brightness levels from 0.1 to 6,000 lux, color temperatures from 2,300K to 6,500K, and the camera shake test which simulates walking and/or handheld movements. Thus, this system of tests facilitates the delivery of the optimal photography experience to smartphone users.
The Lab also featured a variety of sets where variables from real-world analogs are recreated in a controlled environment. The sets include coffee shops, boutiques, clubs, storefronts and more. HONOR said that the brand believes that data alone is insufficient to render real-life images.
The Porsche Design HONOR Magic6 RSR's industry-leading 1,200 points LiDAR Matrix Autofocus system was tested in this laboratory.
The next stop is the HONOR Global Headquarters Showroom. In the showroom, we saw the various HONOR products from smartphones, tablets, accessories, PCs, networking devices, and more.
In the showroom, the brand revealed that it currently has 13,000 employees. Sixty percent of them are in Research and Development in seven research centers worldwide.
The brand has entered 100 markets and has collaborated with over a hundred operators and retailers worldwide.
To date, HONOR has reduced the use of hazardous substances and materials by 3,861 tons and has recycled more than 1,785 tons of e-waste. Currently, the brand is on track to achieve 100 percent use of renewable energy and reach carbon-neutral operations by 2045.
