Elon Musk to ban Apple devices?
Musk made this pronouncement after Apple said it would integrate OpenAI’s technology into its iPhones. Once up, when users speak to Siri, they will be allowed to hand off some questions to ChatGPT, openAI's language model.
He said the move would be considered an "unacceptable security violation.”
If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation. Visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage, Musk posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Apple previously said that the feature may be out within the year.
Both OpenAI and Apple assured the market that they would include privacy protections.
Requests are not stored by OpenAI, and users' IP addresses are obscured, OpenAI said in its announcement.
