In the past few days, Typhoon Carina brought rains across parts of the country, especially in Luzon. Many areas were flooded, damaging houses and other properties of those affected.

A number of non-government organizations are currently accepting donations to help Filipinos who were affected by the weather disturbance.

Those interested may donate through GCash by simply scanning the QR codes:

Other groups have also launched initiatives to help those in need. This includes NGO JCI Malolos Inc. To help, you can donate food, water, clothing, and medical supplies. Monetary donations are also welcome to fund relief efforts.

Those interested can also be a volunteer to help with packing, distribution, and on-ground support.

According to PAGASA's last update, Carina is already outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It is now less likely to directly bring heavy rainfall over any portion of the country.

However, the southwest monsoon, or the hanging habagat, enhanced by Carina will bring heavy to intense rainfall over the Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Benguet on Thursday while moderate to heavy rainfall may be expected in the western portion of Luzon from Thursday through Saturday.

Stay safe everyone!
