Following the announcement of the iPhone 16 Series, now Apple begins the roll of its latest Operating System—iOS18.

Apple iOS 18 is now available

iOS 18 is officially launching today for users globally, and below you can check the list of all the supported iPhone models eligible for the update. Additionally. the key update is set to go live simultaneously to millions of users worldwide at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET/5 PM UTC.

Among the oldest devices supported are the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max all of which debuted last 2018 or six years ago. Meanwhile, iPhone 2020 and 2022 were also supported by the update.

If you want to experience the new OS simply head to settings, general, and press software update to check if the iOS 18 update is ready for download.

There's no necessity to upgrade your device to iOS 18 if you're only worried about security patches. Apple will continue to offer the latest security updates for devices on iOS 17.7, which is also available starting today.

We would like to also point out that Apple Intelligence is not going to be part yet for iOS 18. Apple will push the update on the 18.1 which is slated to happen next month. Although, that's at least for the US versions. Those with the EU or China will have to wait some more, however, Apple did not mention a timeframe.
