OPPO

Digital Walker Philippines recently introduced a new member of MOMAX's lineup of universal "1-World" chargers.
MOMAX 1-World+ 3-Port Travel GaN Charger With Built-in USB-C Cable 70W

The device is called the "MOMAX 1-World+ 3-Port Travel GaN Charger With Built-in USB-C Cable 70W".

Basically, this device could be used nearly anywhere in the world as comes with built-in retractable sockets for Japan, the US, AU, the EU, and the UK.

Here in the Philippines, the most common socket is the US. In some homes, they use outlets that are compatible with both the US and EU.

Here's what we think about it.

The material MOMAX used is mostly polycarbonate in a rectangular form factor with semi-rounded corners. The company said that they crafted this using high-quality/durable materials as well and it seems to be the case so far.

It is also available in different colors like Black, Grey, Sandstone, Blue, and Red designed to fit the preferences of nearly anyone.

There is also a FREE leather-like pouch where you can store the charger when not in use.
Multiple plugs, multiple charging solutions
Multiple plugs, multiple charging solutions

The device is not as small as other GaN chargers that we had in the past. But it is understandable since it has hidden plugs that could be used in different parts of the world.

It has a release button on the side allowing its users to quickly switch from one plug to another as well as a 65cm retractable USB-C cable.

There is also one universal outlet that will work for Japan, US, AU, EU, and UK plugs. AND yes, you can use it as a passthrough for other devices that you want to plug in.

Legit 1-World charger that works

MOMAX is marketing that you can use this device to power up to 4 devices at the same time. But in reality, with the passthrough outlet, can charge up to 5 devices.
Different use cases

Despite being physically larger than other GaN chargers, it doesn't fall off as easily as my Anker Prime wall charger.

It measures 87.5 x 54.7 x 52.9 mm and weighs 226 grams.

For charging, the device is compatible with fast-charging smartphones like iPhones, smartwatches including the Apple Watch, tablets like the iPad, wearable devices like TWS buds, and gaming handhelds.

When used alone, the USB-C has up to 70W max charging speed. When using both USB 1 and 2, its users can enjoy PD20W and PD45W. Personally, I use it to power a laptop like the MateBook 14 2024 with 65W charging while charging another phone on the side.

It gets warm when charging multiple devices, but doesn't generate an alarming type of heat.

Here are the complete electrical specs of the device:

  • Rated input voltage range: AC100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 10A
  • 2500W max
  • Output 1/2 (USB C): 70W max (5V⎓2.4A, 9V⎓3A, 12V⎓3A, 15V⎓3A, 20V⎓3.5A)
  • Output USB 3: 5V⎓3A, 9V⎓3A, 12V⎓2.5A
  • Output USB 4: 5V⎓1A
  • Output USB 1+2: PD20W + PD45W
  • Output USB 2+3: PD45W + PD18W
  • Output USB 3+4: PD30W + 5W
  • Output USB 1+3: Total 15W
  • Output USB 2 + (1+3)+4: PD45W + 15W + 5W

Since it uses GaN charging, it also has intelligent power management and control to optimize the charging current and voltage to provide the fastest and most efficient charge possible across connected devices. It also dynamically adjusts the power based on the device's charging needs as well as temperature and battery level for safer charging.

For extra safety, MOMAX also included a built-in fuse as well as protection against short circuits, over-voltage, and over power.

Quick thoughts

For me, this is a great travel companion for those in need of charging multiple devices at the same time without carrying multiple chargers locally and even abroad.

This eliminates the problem of buying a universal power adapter to use when traveling to a foreign country so you can immediately charge your laptop, smartphone, power banks, wearables, and more.

It is neat-looking, compact enough, and works as advertised so far.

The SRP of the device is PHP 3,890, but it is currently on sale at Digital Walker for just PHP 2,990. It is also available for 12 months for PHP 362 per month with billease.

It may seem expensive at first look, but it might be a worthwhile investment for frequent travelers like myself.

If you can spend a little bit more, Digital Walker is also selling a MOMAX 1-1-World Universal 4-Port Travel GaN Charger 100W for PHP 3,990.
