vivo teases the arrival of V40 5G in the Philippines on September 18. Let's take a quick recap of its features.
The brand has posted a glimpse of the V40 5G's back cover while also revealing the chosen colorways. There's also a caption of "Something incredible is on the horizon, Stay tuned!"
To recall, the phone features a minimalist design, available in Stellar Silver and Nebula Purple. vivo has redesigned the camera island to a circle within an oblong shape. This model is distinct with the addition of ZEISS branding, a feature not present in the V30 5G.
The phone boasts a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display at the front, with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, HDR10+ support, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The display also houses the 32MP shooter for selfies located at the centered notch.
At the helm, it features a 2.8GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 octa-core processor paired with an Adreno 720 GPU, 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and options for 256GB or 512GB of storage. It's equipped with a 5,500mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging.
The camera features a 50MP f/1.88 main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and ZEISS optics, along with a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Additional features include stereo speakers and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM capabilities.
Regarding the operating system, the phone operates on Android 14, enhanced with the FuntouchOS 14 interface.
As for the availability, vivo clarifies it will arrive on September 18 on the Philippines.
