Great enough to go Electric?
BYD says that the Seal's design is inspired by the Ocean series with its fluid and aerodynamic lines coupled with its sleek silhouette. Its low-slung stance and sharp detailing adds to its futuristic yet elegant appearance. The flush door handles, low panoramic glass roof and 19-inch wheels are designed to contribute to the vehicle's overall performance and efficiency.
The new Seal is a mid-size performance sedan built on the innovative e-Platform 3.0 which features a dual-motor (Asynchronous and Permanent Magnet Synchronous motors) all-wheel-drive or AWD system that supposedly delivers 529 horsepower and 670 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds which makes it one of the fastest EVs in its class.
The internal 82.6 kWh BYD Blad Battery is rated for up to 580 kilometres on a single charge.
