nubia Z70s Ultra (global): Snapdragon 8 Elite and Interchangeable lens

Shortly after its launch last month in China, the nubia Z70s Ultra goes official for the global market.

The phone's design

Flagship Camera contender goes for the international stage

The design of the phone features a classic two-tone camera module and is available in Orange and Black. It has an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

The display is a 6.85-inch BOE Q9 OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution (2688 x 1216), a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 960Hz touch sampling rate. It supports 10-bit color depth, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and 2592Hz PWM dimming.

The features

 

Under the hood, the processor is a 4.32GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with an Adreno GPU. It comes with memory options of 12GB, 16GB, or 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The battery and charging system includes a 6,600mAh battery with 80W fast charging support via a USB-C port.

The cameras

For camera features, the rear setup consists of a 50MP f/1.7 Light and Shadow Master 990 sensor (35mm) with OIS, a 50MP f/2.2 OV50D ultra-wide camera with 2.5cm macro capability, and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B 70mm telephoto camera with OIS, and flicker + laser sensor. 

At the front, it uses a 16MP OmniVision OV16A1Q under-display sensor.

The phone includes a dedicated camera shutter for an immersive photography experience. Additionally, Nubia offers a professional photography kit that includes a mobile phone case compatible with a T-mount adapter, an adapter ring for 67mm filters, a shoulder strap, magnetic suction, and a 1/4-inch tripod thread.

An interchangeable lens set developed with Fotogear is also available, featuring five T-mount external lenses: a fisheye lens, a macro lens, a 139mm telephoto lens, and a 400mm super telephoto lens.

Other features include stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra, three microphones, and dual X-axis linear motors.

For connectivity, the phone supports Wi-Fi 7 (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz), 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM functionality.

Finally, it runs  Android 15 with Nebula AIOS.
