Digicams are also back in the game

Gen Z is not only setting new trends, but is also bringing back old ones.

According to The Korea Times, young consumers are looking to get their hands on older phones. This is a trend driven by "young-tro," which is a combination of young and retro and refers to the new wave of nostalgia among the youngsters.

These older phones, like those earlier iPhone models with buttons, are most of the time used for vintage-like photos.

The rising demand is also driving the prices of the old iPhones up.

In Korea, the iPhone SE (1st generation) is now being sold for over KRW 200,000 or around PHP 8,000 on secondhand marketplaces. iPhone 6S, meanwhile, is around KRW 100,000 or around PHP 4,000.

Aside from old phone models, digital cameras are also getting back into the game.

Thanks to K-pop girl group NewJeans, interest in old camera models surged. Some of those sold around KRW 50,000 or around PHP 2,000 years ago are now priced at KRW 150,000 or around PHP 6,000.

What do you guys think?
