ROG introduces its flagship gaming laptop called the STRIX SCAR 18, featuring top-end Intel chips and NVIDIA RTX50 Series GPU.

A true gaming behemoth from ROG

This new laptop comes with a refreshed design available in the Black colorway. It also boasts Aura Sync Light Bar and Aura Sync logo. Another gimmick here is the addition of AniMe Matrix LED lights for a more refined gamer aesthetic.

In terms of display, it uses an 18-inch Mini LED panel with 2.5K 2560 x 1600 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, anti-glare coating, Pantone validated 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and support for Dolby Vision HDR.

Inside, it is powered by a 5.4GHz Intel Core Ultra 9 chip with 24 cores and 24 threads, Intel AI Boost NPU with 13 TOPS of power.

It is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU with 24GB GDDR7 and up to 175W power draw.

These powerful internals are being cooled using the end-to-end vapor chamber, sandwiched heatsink, Tri-Fan technology, and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal for both CPU and GPU. Furthermore, this unit's fans have a lower noise level than the previous model.

For memory, it has up to 64GB DDR5 clocked at 5600MHz supporting dual channel. It is paired with a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 performance SSD. ASUS also stated they can be expanded with 2x DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and 2x M.2 PCIe.

The ROG STRIX SCAR 18 also features a 90WHr 4SIP, 4-cell Li-ion battery and is charged using a 380W AC adapter.

Others mentioned are 1080 FHD IR web camera, 4x speaker system with Smart Amplifier Technology, AI noise-cancelling technology, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res certification (headphone), and built-in microphone.

The ports included are 1x 3.5mm combo audio jack, 1x HDMI 2.1 FRL, 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps), 1x 2.5G LAN port, 2x Thunderbolt 5 with DP/PD/G-SYNC support (120Gbps).

Wireless connectivity are WiFi 7(2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz) and Bluetooth 5.4.

For OS, the laptop runs Windows 11 Home out of the box.
