IP68 wireless speaker made even better?
Originally introduced globally in March 2025, the new JBL Flip 7 is finally arriving in the Philippines in time for summer and the upcoming monsoon season.
The speaker measures 18.3 x 6.9 x 7.1 cm and weighs 826 grams. It is IP68 water and dust resistance rated for up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. JBL advertises that it is drop-proof when dropped from up to 1 meter.
On the side of the speaker is the swappable carrying accessory slot where users can on-the-fly swap between the fingerloop and the carabiner.
At the heart of the speaker is the 25W woofer and the 10W tweeter that delivers 35W total power and a frequency response from 60Hz to 20kHz. It is powered by a large 4,800mAh battery that yields up to 14 hours of music play time. It can be boosted to 16 hours with Playtime Boost.
It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4, and it supports the AAC codec. Wired connection via USB-C unlocks the lossless audio support.
It is compatible with Auracast and the JBL Portable app. Auracast replaces PartyBoost, and it allows users to seamlessly pair with multiple JBL Auracast-enabled speakers for stereo or multi-speaker setups, which should enhance versatility for events.
Lastly, it comes in several colors, including Black, Blue, Red, Black Orange, Purple, Pink Squad, or Sand.
