TECNO SPARK 40 launched: Helio G81, 120Hz LCD, IP64 rating

Apart from the TECNO SPARK Go 2, the brand also introduced the SPARK 40 as another budget contender.

TECNO SPARK 40 is now official

The SPARK 40 boasts a minimalist design available in Black, Silver, and Blue colorways. TECNO added an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance to ensure the device can handle some splashes or dirt when on the go.

In front, the phone uses a 6.67-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The features

Inside, the device is equipped with a 2.0GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio G81 processor with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It is also paired with 8GB RAM + 8GB virtual RAM and 256GB storage.

The phone sports a 5,200mAh battery and comes with a 45W USB-C fast charger.

For cameras, the SPARK 40 is equipped with a 50MP main shooter + LED flash and uses an 8MP front camera for selfies.

Other features mentioned are the stereo speakers with DTS sound support.

Connectivity-wise, the phone has WiFi, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual SIM. It also has FreeLink support, which TECNO claims can provide free calls without a signal.

Finally, it runs on Android 15 with HiOS 15.1 skin on top.

Nigeria price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet);

TECNO SPARK 40 - NGN 142,700 (around PHP 5.2K)

It is currently available in Nigeria and other African countries. No word yet if TECNO will bring this phone here in the Philippines.
