The next-level MacBook is arriving soon in PH
The release brings Apple's latest professional-grade laptop to the local market, with a focus on enhanced performance and battery life. It also retains the usual colorways, such as Space Black or Silver.
Apple is highlighting the new M5 chip as the core of the upgrade. According to the firm, the new processor features a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, paired with a 16-core Neural Engine.
The company claims the configuration delivers up to a 20 percent improvement in CPU performance and artificial intelligence processing that is up to 3.5 times faster than its predecessor. Graphics performance is also stated to see a significant boost, with 1.6 times faster rendering.

The model available for pre-order is the 14-inch version, featuring a Liquid Retina XDR display with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
The base configuration includes up to 24GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD, which Apple states has doubled in speed compared to the previous generation.
Another highlight for the new model is its battery life, with Apple claiming it can achieve up to 24 hours on a single charge.
Furthermore, it continues to feature a 12-megapixel webcam with Center Stage, a six-speaker sound system, and MagSafe 3 charging.
For connectivity, it includes three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SD card slot, and a headphone jack.
The device will ship with macOS Sequoia, which introduces new Apple Intelligence features such as live translation in Messages and FaceTime, alongside expanded automation capabilities in the Shortcuts app.
