POCO F8 Pro launched in PH: SD8E, 120Hz AMOLED, 50MP triple rear camera, Bose speakers, and PHP 26,299 early bird price

In the Philippines, POCO introduced the new F8 Pro, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, and Stereo Speakers by Bose.

Does it live up to the F series?

The Pro variant of the F8 Series features a micro-curved metal fiddle frame, a 2mm thick glass rear panel, and a glass front panel. The brand is proud to say that it also used a 1.3 mm-thick milled glass decoration around the camera module.

It measures 157.49 x 75.25 x 8.0mm and weighs 199 grams. It is IP68 dust and water resistance rated and comes in either Titanium Silver, Blue, or Black.

In front of the phone is the 6.59-inch HyperRGB AMOLED screen with a 2,510 x 1,156 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3,500 nits peak brightness, and up to 480Hz touch sampling rate. It supports 12-bit color depth and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The front panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Under the screen is the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Inside the phone is the 3nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite octa-core processor, Adreno GPU, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage, and a 3D Triple Layer IceLoop LiquidCool Cooling Technology.

It is powered by a massive 6,210 mAh battery with 100W HyperCharge via USB-C. It supports 22.5W reverse wired charging.

At the back of the phone is the 50MP f/1.88 main camera with the 1/1.55-inch Light Fusion 800 sensor and OIS, a 50MP f/2.2 telephoto camera, and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with a 20MP front-facing camera.

Other features include dual NanoSIM, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 7, NFC,  1115F + 1115F Symmetric Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Sound by Bose.

Running the show is Xiaomi HyperOS 3.
