For something this portable, it feels sturdy and secure enough for outdoor adventures.
Performance in real-world use
- Crisp Video & Photo Quality
- The camera delivered detailed visuals in well-lit outdoor scenes, as expected. The 5.7K resolution was able to capture the texture of Tutulari's rock formations beautifully.
Putting it in action on low-light indoor setting is no different. The AKASO 360 was able to capture the action at a recent DEXCON Wrestling show featuring World Champion Jake De Leon going toe-to-toe against international Pinoy wrestler, Kidd Bandit.
On-point stability
Even while traversing the uneven Tutulari trail, the footage stayed surprisingly smooth. The stabilization kept our walking shots steady without needing gimbals or extra accessories.
Invisible Selfie Stick
 |
| It's as if we're not holding a selfie stick |
The selfie stick disappearing in the footage makes shots feel more dynamic, especially during walk-throughs or POV-style clips.
Our 3 favorite features
 |
| 360-degree Horizon Lock in action |
1. 360-degree Horizon Lock - No matter how you tilt, twist, or spin the camera, the footage stays perfectly level. This was especially helpful while moving through rocky sections of the trail, which allowed the video to remain straight even if our hands didn't.
 |
AI-Assisted Tracking kept us centered even as we traversed the uneven trail
|
2. AI-Assisted tracking - The camera intelligently detects your subject and keeps them centered. We found this useful for simple walk-and-talk clips and for recording quick pans of the scenery without worrying if something drifted out of frame.
 |
The AKASO 360 app
|
3. SmartClip in the AKASO 360 App - This was honestly the most fun part. SmartClip transforms your 360 shots into social-ready edits instantly. It adds effects, transitions, and re-frames your footage, and gives on-screen guides so you don’t need editing skills to produce creative results.
Even with basic shots, the app made them look polished.
Verdict
The AKASO 360 is a great option for anyone who wants a simple, user-friendly 360 action camera without the high price tag. In our observation, you don't have to be a pro to get impressive shots because the hardware and software do most of the heavy lifting.
For everyday creators, travelers, or anyone who just wants to make their trips look more dynamic, the AKASO 360 delivers ease, versatility, and creativity in one compact package.
