Xiaomi expands software support for flagship phones and more

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is providing its high-end smartphones with much longer software support, even longer than most Androids and Apple.

Longer lifespan for Xiaomi devices

According to a report by Xiaomi Time, a number of the company’s premium units will get a full five-year cycle of security updates.

The extended support makes sure that users have secure devices that run smoothly for many years, subsequently increasing the value of the smartphones.

To ensure a Xiaomi device is updated with new features and security fixes, users are advised to check MemeOS 3.0 Enhancer on the Play Store. This provides users access to system app updates.
