REDMI A7 Pro 5G launched: 6.9" LCD, UNISOC T8300, and 6,300mAh battery

After the teaser, the REDMI A7 Pro goes official in India.

REDMI A7 Pro 5G is now official

The REDMI A7 Pro 5G is offered in three color options — Black, Mist Blue, and Sunset Orange. The handset measures 8.15mm in thickness and weighs 210 grams.

Meanwhile, it also received an IP54 rating for minimal resistance against dust, dirt, and splashes.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, with peak brightness rated at 800 nits. 

The features

The display carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue-light emission, flicker-free performance, and circadian-friendly viewing, as well as DC dimming support. Xiaomi has also included Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which enables accurate touch response even when the screen is exposed to moisture or oily contact.

Inside, the device is driven by a 2.2GHz 6nm UNISOC T8300 octa-core processor with a Mali-G57 GPU. 

It is configured with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and is available in 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage variants. Storage can be expanded by up to 2TB via a microSD card, and the device supports virtual RAM expansion of up to 8GB.

Power is provided by a 6,300mAh battery with support for  USB-C 15W wired fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. Xiaomi states the battery is rated for 1,000 charge cycles while retaining more than 80 percent of its capacity after four years of use.

On the imaging side, it uses a 32MP rear camera with HDR+ and Night Mode capabilities. For selfies, it has an 8MP front-facing camera that includes beauty filters and Night Mode. Additional camera tools include AI Sky Mode and Document Mode.

The device includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Connectivity features include WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.4, and GPS with support for GLONASS, Galileo, and BDS. 

The Redmi A7 Pro 5G runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 out of the box. 

Notable software additions include Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search, HyperIsland for multitasking, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity. Xiaomi has committed to four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches for the device.

It is currently available only in India. No word yet for other markets as of this writing.
