As local pump prices remain elevated due to the Middle East war, oil giant Shell Pilipinas Corp. is providing a PHP 5 discount per liter on its petroleum products.
PHP 5 off per liter on all Shell fuels

Heads up, motorists!

The promo starts on Friday, April 24, and will run until April 30.

This will cover private four-wheel vehicles, with a minimum purchase of PHP 1,500. Motorcycle riders can also get discounts, with a minimum transaction of PHP 200.

However, it noted that the fuel products covered by this promo must be filled into actual tanks and not be stored in any containers.

While public utility vehicles (PUV), transport network vehicle services, cash trucks, drumming and bulk and fleet account customers are not covered by the promo, Shell noted that its about 450 stations are part of the government’s diesel subsidy program.

The subsidy program, led by the Department of Energy, provides PUV drivers and operators with a PHP 10 per liter subsidy.

The war in the Middle East that erupted late in February had caused local fuel prices to surge by double-digits for almost every week.

However, motorists have seen big-time rollbacks since the United States, Iran, and Israel agreed to a ceasefire.
