Not the fastest, but still powerful?

Lenovo has confirmed that its upcoming Legion Y70 gaming smartphone will launch in China on May 19.

According to available information, the Legion Y70 is expected to feature a 6.8-inch flat display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device may be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, positioning it among high-performance gaming phones expected this year.

The handset is also likely to emphasize thermal management. Reports indicate a newly designed three-layer cooling system, which may include a vapor chamber, liquid metal cooling, and thermal gel.

The system is said to incorporate a 5,500mm² vapor chamber (VC) plate to help regulate temperatures during extended gaming sessions and intensive tasks.

For battery performance, the Legion Y70 is rumored to include an 8,000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging.

Lenovo has also highlighted long-term battery durability, suggesting the battery may retain over 80% of its original health after several years of use.

Design-wise, the phone is expected to continue the Legion series’ aesthetic, featuring a textured glass back and an aluminum frame, available in black and silver.

Alongside the Legion Y70, Lenovo is expected to introduce additional products at its May 19 event, including tablets, laptops, and foldable devices.
