REDMAGIC 11S Pro to launch on May 18

REDMAGIC has started teasing its upcoming gaming phone and confirmed its release date.

ZTE's gaming-focused sub-brand RedMagic has confirmed the REDMAGIC 11S Pro is in the works, following an earlier certification filing that first hinted at the device. 

The company has scheduled a formal unveiling for May 18 at 3:00 PM China Standard Time.

A teaser shared on Weibo suggests the upcoming handset will feature some form of overclocking capability. However, no technical specifications have been disclosed through either official channels or the prior certification. 

The RedMagic 11 Pro and Pro+ were released in the Chinese market in October, making the 11S Pro the next entry in the lineup.

Some reports suggest the device may be equipped with an overclocked variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, also known as the Leading Version. It kind of makes sense if you take a look back at the chips of 10S Pro, 9S Pro, and 8S Pro. 

Other than that, there is not much info on the web, so it's best to wait for the official announcement, which is just a week from now.
