Xiaomi 17T Series with Leica cameras launching globally on May 28

Xiaomi suggests marking your calendars on May 28 because it will launch the new Xiaomi 17T Series then. Leaked renders reveal design and key specs.

In the teaser post, an image of what appears to be a camera module (similar to last year's Xiaomi 15T) shows four inner circles. In the middle of the circles is the word 'Leica.' 

Xiaomi says in the post's caption that 'The wait is almost over. It's finally happening. Mark your calendars for our biggest T Series upgrade yet!' This includes orange, camera, and red emojis. 

Does this mean that the Leica cameras will get a big upgrade over the previous Xiaomi generation?

This isn't the first teaser we've seen, though. Yesterday, we passed by a local Mi store in the south of Manila, where it depicts Gabbi Garcia with a mysterious white-out phone.

Serendipitously, X user Sudhanshu Ambhore posted on X legitimate-looking press renders of the upcoming Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. Some of these press materials may have confirmed the phone's specs and features.

The materials reveal that the Xiaomi 17T will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra octa-core processor, a 6,500mAh Silicon Carbon battery with 67W HyperCharge, and a 6.59-inch 120Hz eye-care display.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 octa-core processor, a 7,000mAh Silicon Carbon battery with 100W wired & 50W wireless HyperCharge capabilities, and a 6.83-inch 144Hz eye-care display.

Alleged Xiaomi 17T Pro's key features

Both models come with Xiaomi Hyper AI, Leica Live Moment, and Leica Summilux optical lenses.

Take the above information with a grain of salt until Xiaomi's official announcement on May 26, 2026.
