In fact, the price of just the PHP 39,999 (12GB/512GB) variant, the new unit features a premium titanium build, 3nm flagship SoC, large battery capacity, powerful cameras with Leica cameras, and an improved software with a wide array of AI suite designed to make the lives of its users easier.

Xiaomi recently sent us a unit to test, and here's what we think about it.

Before we dive deeper, let's unbox it first.

Unboxing/Accessories

The Box

The phone arrived with a traditional Xiaomi white box bearing the Xiaomi 15 Pro branding in silver print. Below, you'll also find the tag-line "co-engineered with Leica.

Opening the box will give you the Xiaomi 15T Pro in Gray colorway and a 12GB/512GB memory configuration.

Below, there's also a FREE TPU Black case, the 90W HyperCharge adaptor, USB-A to USB-C connector, SIM injector tool, and the paperwork for the quick guide and warranty.

Build Quality/Design

As soon as we got hold of the Xiaomi 15T Pro, it already caught our attention with its premium build quality. It has a CNC aluminum frame with a flagship-grade glass fiber back panel.
The back design Xiaomi 15 Pro
The back view

Its sturdy aluminum frame provides a solid structural foundation. The machining is precise, with polished curved edges that catch the light elegantly, while the matte sides ensure a secure grip. The buttons, carved from the same metal, are tactile and have no wobble.

It looks premium, it feels premium, it is premium!

It also came with rounded corners, providing us with a more ergonomic feel when holding in different angles.
The side view

Just like its latest releases, the Xiaomi 15 Pro has a reinforced structure to ensure it can withstand daily activities and accidental drops. Even the screen uses Gorilla Glass 7i protection against scratches and impacts.

Meanwhile, it also boasts solid sealing with the IP68 dust and water resistance. While it permits us to go 1.5 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes, we still don't recommend frequent or prolonged usage in such scenarios.

Design-wise, Xiaomi kept it minimalist and maintained a professional vibe. There's also a faint glow when light hits the back, and it has a smooth-to-the-touch feeling.

Speaking of which, it doesn't attract those annoying fingerprint smudges despite having oily fingers.
The cameras

The phone also has a protruding square camera island that houses the large sensors. You can also notice shiny borders around it, while at the center is an etched, shiny Leica branding.

The left side is also blank space with antenna bands, and on the right side, you'll find volume rockers, a power button, and more antenna bands.

Multimedia Experience

Stunning display
Stunning display

The Xiaomi 15T Pro uses a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K 2772 x 1280 resolution at 447 ppi, 144Hz refresh rate, up to 2560Hz touch sampling rate, 3,200 nits peak brightness, 68B colors, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support.
Ultra-slim bezels
Ultra-slim bezels

What we noticed is that the display is now slightly bigger and has thinner, well-proportioned bezels than the 14T Pro, thus giving us more space to view our favorite content.

Stunning display

It retained the same 1.5K resolution sharpness while the colors remained precise with good contrast and deep blacks.
Bright under the sun

The screen also brings a smooth transition when switching between apps as well as when doing endless scrolls on TikTok or Facebook, thanks to the 144Hz refresh rate.

The device still has the same eye protection of 3840Hz PWM dimming to ensure our eyes will experience less fatigue during extended usage.

It has a base 480Hz touch sampling rate, while it can go up to 2560Hz for gaming sessions, ensuring that you will have an intuitive and responsive experience.

Meanwhile, the 3,200 nits peak brightness allowed us to keep viewing the display under harsh sunlight.

For audio, the Xiaomi 15 Pro delivers a bright sound signature with its stereo speakers. There's a nice thump in the bass region, good performance in the mid and high sections. Although at max volume, there's a sharp hiss in the high region.

In that sense, it's better to keep the volume down by 80 to 90 percent, which is still pretty loud anyway.

Cameras

Leica imaging

Among its highlights is the usage of a 50MP f/1.6 23mm Light Fusion 900 sensor with OIS + 12MP f/2.2 15mm OV13B ultra-wide sensor + 50MP f/3.0 115m JN5 5x telephoto shooter. It also supports up to 10x lossless zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

Visible improvements from the previous generation

The Xiaomi 15T Pro also brings professional Leica optics with the addition of Vario-Summilux 1:1.62-3.0/15-115 Aspherical lenses to bring cinematic photography across different focal lengths.

On the selfie side, it uses a 32MP KDS sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.

Ultra-wide

The 5x optical zoom

The 50MP Light Fusion sensor gave us good image quality during our outdoor and indoor shootout.
Indoor shot 1x

Its cameras were able to capture precise colors, good dynamic range, and contrast in both 1x, 2x, and even 5x zoom. This is thanks to Xiaomi having improved the telephoto lens from 2.6x of the previous model, now with up to 5x support.
The ultra-wide indoor

By the way, you can select between Leica vibrant mode or Leica authentic modes. But we prefer the natural tone of the Authentic version as it represents what our eyes actually see. In case you prefer a slightly punchy color, then the vibrant tone might be for you.

The ultra-wide enabled us to capture scenic shots with more space and decent details on our subject, though with less quality compared to the main and zoom cameras. All because Xiaomi kept its resolution at 12 Megapixels.
1x portrait mode

Using it for a portrait will give you an artificial background blur on the subject. It specifically provided remarkable performance on the 5x Leica portrait mode.
5x portrait mode

Just look at the nice separation of the subject and the blur. It has well retained details against the 23mm focal length.
The indoor food shot

In terms of food photos, it is fairly impressive too, giving us high-quality details and great color accuracy. So if you like posting on social media what you eat in the day, this can be a good match for you.
Food shot with bokeh

For low-light, the main sensor and zoom provide good performance as well, with both having near-identical quality.
Night 1x

They both excelled in sharpness and color vibrancy, especially on the building's architecture and the lighting. The optical image stabilization helped in this area, while the noise is handled properly; however, the dynamic range on the tree is a bit soft.
5x zoom night

The 5x telephoto of the 50MP JN1 sensor also delivered sharp details with less bleeding lights from the LED and indoor reflection. There's some slight noise noticeable, but this is alright given the price and improvement it offers from the predecessor.
Ultra-wide night

With regards to using ultra-wide, you'll get a decent amount of quality too on the building. This time, it appeared brighter with a more orange color reflection on the tree. Meanwhile, the latter appeared even softer. Since we captured more space, you can spot the lighting of Yardstick's cafe with somewhat still-readable letters.
Another 1x night sample

In some areas with different lighting, youll get a more balanced performance on the exposure with good highlight and shadow detail. It has low to moderate noise and has retained nice sharpness on the leaves.

Selfie Camera samples

For selfies, the 32MP shooter offers decent photo output across different environments, such as outdoor, indoor, and low-light scenes.
Selfie indoor normal and bokeh

Both the outdoor and indoor scenes gave us a crisp and natural look with good color accuracy.

The portrait mode has nice details and edge detection, and provides creamy bokeh like that from the rear cameras.
Selfie for lowlight normal and bokeh

For night mode, you can get bright and usable output despite some deterioration due to minimal noise and bleed light.

Performance

The benchmark results

The Xiaomi 15T Pro brings the 3.73GHz 3nm Dimensity 9400+ that was announced around Q2 of 2025. It is paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Can compete with most 2025 flagships in terms of speed

Though it is no longer the flagship chip of MediaTek due to the recent announcement of Dimensity 9500, it still gave us outstanding numbers in terms of benchmark results.

Below are the benchmarks of Xiaomi 15T Pro:

  • AnTuTu - 2,696,830 points
  • GeekBench - 2,552 single core, 7,970 multi-core
  • CPDT - 686 MB/s sequential write speeds, 879.2 sequential read speeds
  • 3DMark - 20,372 overall score, 121.99 average fps

In actual usage, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is a high-performing device that can handle whatever we throw at it. The phone did not give us a problem if you open multiple apps at once. From using social media apps to several Chrome tabs, YouTube, and gaming, hands down, the 15T Pro did not disappoint.
Maxed out game settings
Maxed out game settings

For gaming, it can handle Genshin Impact in the max settings. We even tweaked it on the Game Turbo app by further enhancing the graphics, anisotropic filtering, texture filtering quality, and multithreaded rendering. The processor is powerful enough to handle such extreme custom settings.

For Mobile Legends, it can already activate the Ultra graphics and 120 fps mode by default, allowing us to compete at the highest image quality and stable frame rates.

It goes the same for Wuthering Waves, which has more demanding specs and requirements. We had a pleasant, stable experience strolling on the vast open world while running it on max graphics as well.

For thermals, the device gets warm under such heavy loads, but not to the point that it will hurt your fingers even on longer gaming sessions. This is thanks to the 3D IceLoop cooling system of Xiaomi 15T Pro, plus the 3nm lithography of the Dimensity 9400+. More efficient power draw equals less heat generation.
Battery consumption

In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 15T Pro lasted from 1pm until 12:30 midnight of usage with remaining 51 percent juice. That involves 5G data turned on, a bit of gaming, social media, YouTube, photo and video shooting. Just picture how tough it is to drain in a day. You'll have enough battery for the next 12 hours before you decide to plug it into a wall.

Speaking of which, the 90W USB-C charger is blazing fast as well. We started plugging the device in on a 17 percent battery, and it reached 80 percent in just 30 minutes. Filling the remaining 20 percent required an additional 11 minutes. So that means you only need a total of 41 minutes of waiting time.

Connectivity features are decent, the WiFi 7 is fast enough to download Genshin Impact on a TP-Link router (WiFi 7 too) in just 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, the 5G connectivity doesn't give us connection drops in a well-crowded Ortigas location. Of course, except for being inside a tightly closed office. As no other network can penetrate signals in any way.

For Bluetooth, we did not experience connection drops either on our wireless headset or game controller.
The HyperOS 3 UI

In terms of OS, the Xiaomi 15T Pro runs on HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. Surprisingly, it is now cleaner than the 1st edition last year. This time, we were no longer greeted with ads; they are nicely hidden in bloatware apps' settings. As long as you don't activate it, you won't be pestered with the sudden pop-ups.
Customization options
Customization options

The UI is also intuitive with a lot of options to tweak your preferred wallpaper, effects, widgets, and fonts.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi also promises up to 5 years of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates for the phone, so this is good enough until 2030.
The Xiaomi HyperOS AI

Furthermore, Xiaomi's AI is powered by Google Gemini. It has image and video generation, overlay, deep research, live, extension, and a circle to search.

You can also utilize AI search, gallery search, AI writing, recording, interpreter, and subtitles.

Lastly, the phone also features AI Eraser Pro, image expansion, image enhancement, remove reflection, AI film, Magic Sky, cutouts, dynamic wallpapers, and cinematic lock screen.

Pros - Premium design and durable build, stunning and smooth display, near-flagship performance, big storage, great main camera, and 5x telephoto
Cons - Still a 12MP ultra-wide, some piercing sound at max volume

Verdict

Without a doubt, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is among the most powerful devices in its price range, and it adds to the fact that you can have a good camera with "Leica experience" for less. It even has an optical 5x zoom, ideal for your street photography walks or even concerts.

The phone also has a good display, large storage, and outstanding battery life.

If the ultra-wide sensor is a nitpick, you can skip this and look elsewhere.

But right now, this is a very promising device that checks all the boxes for us.

I recommend this to anyone looking for a stylish phone with solid overall performance without spending flagship-level cash.

What do you guys think?
